Joni Houfflyn

In order to obtain my master’s degree in experimental psychology, I’m doing my internship at the lab. Under the supervision of Jens Allaert, I can work on a project that focuses on regret, counterfactual thinking, rumination and self-esteem. In addition, I’m also writing my master thesis in the lab which focuses on resonance breathing combined with tDCS. During the study, breathing techniques are learned and active or non-active tDCS is applied.

I chose to focus on the investigation of the stress regulation during the breathing task combined with tDCS. This stress response is measured with psychophysiological measurements (HRV, skin conductance, blood pressure and respiration).
