Linde De Wandel

I started my PhD and joined the GHEP lab in October 2017, after obtaining my MSc in Experimental and Theoretical Psychology at Ghent University. For my PhD project I investigate the effects of neurostimulation on neurophysiological stress-regulation processes (fMRI, MRS, cortisol reactivity,…) and mental time travel (particularly episodic future thinking). Essentially I am interested to see how tDCS impacts stress-related brain regions and how this translates to changes in important mental health correlates from both a cognitive and physiological point of view . My research is funded by the Ghent Institute for Applied Neuromodulation Techniques and Bijzonder OnderzoeksFonds.

Keywords: Neuroimaging, Acute stress, Episodic future thinking.
