Milou Spitters

I am a master’s student in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Amsterdam. During the masters, I developed an interest in non-invasive brain stimulation and neuroimaging. I am also interested in how brain regions are connected and communicate together to give rise to behavior and how maladaptive changes might lead to pathologies.
Currently, I am doing a research project at UZ Brussel and UZ Gent to investigate the effects of neuromodulation (tDCS) in alcohol and cocaine addiction. Specifically, I will focus on the immediate effects of tDCS on cue-induced cravings of alcohol and cocaine in a fMRI cue reactivity task.
