Willem Dekeyser

I am currently a second-year master’s student in Theoretical and Experimental Psychology at Ghent University. I developed an interest in psychology while studying Social Work at Arteveldehogeschool. While I noticed an increased interest in human behavior, mental disorders, and the brain, at the same time I also noticed that my interest in those topics was not necessarily related to their clinical side. Therefore, after finishing my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, I decided to start studying Theoretical and Experimental Psychology.

At the moment, I am doing my research internship (2021-2022) at GHEP lab. During this internship I will examine the role rumination plays in the relationship between attention, regret and counterfactual thinking. Furthermore, I and some other interns will also collect data for a study examining the effect of resonance breathing and tDCS on stress.
